Awards ceremony of “27th Excellent New Technologies and Products Award for small and medium-sized enterprise” cosponsored by the Risona foundation for small and medium enterprise promotion and Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, Ltd. was held on 9th April, 2015, and Japan Probe Co., Ltd. received an “Award for excellence”.
“BFAP” (Broad band Flexible Array Probe) is the ultrasonic array probe. This probe is possible to test and measure the surface defects, bend section, narrow space and uneven section in a single operation and high resolution. Conventional ultrasonic array probes are made of a hard material, so they are hard to test a curved line. A feature of “BFAP” is possible to bend freely as its name suggests.
And “BFAP” is possible to conduct ultrasonic tests with broad band and high sensitivity, so it can be applied to test the carbon-fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) used for an aircraft main wing, glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP), aluminum die-casting, defects under the surface of welded part, and close defects.
