Katsumi Ohira, director of research & development center of Japan Probe Co., Ltd. made the address about “Development and application of ultrasonic inspection device for a lithium ion battery – transmission method of non contact air-coupled ultrasonic inspection, and reflection and immersion method of non contact air-coupled ultrasonic inspection” at the 55th Battery Symposium in Japan held at the Kyoto International Conference Center on November 19th to 24th in 2014.
And we exhibited a “NAUT21-I” as an inspection system of lithium ion battery. “NAUT21-I” is the inspection system that is possible to conduct air coupled ultrasonic inspection and immersion ultrasonic inspection both.
Air coupled ultrasonic inspection is possible to inspect a lithium ion battery with no contact. Also Immersion ultrasonic inspection is possible to inspect an inside of lithium ion battery and visualize as 3D image.
