Japan Probe Co, Ltd exhibited the NAUT21(Non-contact Air coupled Ultrasonic Testing system) at the 5th Int'l Rechargeable Battery Expo "BATTERY JAPAN" held at the Tokyo Big Site on February 26-28, 2014.
NAUT21 system is the inspection system which is possible for inspection without couplant: so called “Non-contact Air coupled Ultrasonic Testing”.
The conventional ultrasonic inspection needs the couplant such as water and gel, but NAUT21 is possible for inspection without couplant.
This system has many uses such as inspection of lithium ion battery, solar panel CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic), brake pad of car, insulator and so on.
