A paper on the theme of "Ultrasonic visualization of the inside of asphalt pavement using a low frequency array transducer" was published in the February 2022 issue of "Non-Destructive Inspection" magazine published by The Japanese Society for Non-Destructive Inspection.
This is a co-authorship with Ehime University and West Nippon Expressway Engineering Shikoku Company Limited.

・Title: Ultrasonic visualization of the inside of asphalt pavement using a low frequency array transducer
・Co-authorship: Ehime University and West Nippon Expressway Engineering Shikoku Company Limited

・Overview: Full waveform sampling (FSAP) was used to detect flaws in a two-layer structure with asphalt placed on concrete.
A prototype of a 75 [kHz] 32-element linear array ultrasonic transducer was made, and ultrasonic measurements were performed from the asphalt side.
Both asphalt and concrete boundary flaws and concrete interior flaws were imaged.
