Cast iron: inspection from cross section
We introduce the example that inspect a section of cast iron used in automobile parts by our array probe “KYOKUTAN: broad band high sensitive flexible array probe”.
Iron castings are used as parts of an automobile, an airplane, a motorcycle, converting machinery and an injection molding machine.
In the inspection of cast iron, we need to understand their unique material and generation mechanism of shrink cavity, and ultrasonic properties of them.
This is the example of inspection by our array probe “KYOKUTAN”. This probe is possible to detect a surface layer defect.
